Armageddon 2014,
st.Peter church, Biskubská street, Prague 1, CZ
installation will run until May 2015

This is a sculpture group comprising four sculptures placed on a church and an adjacent steeple. Three of the sculptures are birds, which fly headlong to a blossom placed on the church. The blossom is infested with worms. What we are dealing with is an interpretation of the book of Revelation. One of the aims of this project is to engage with the conserved atmosphere of old Prague's architectural gems, and to connect somehow with the fractured spiritual atmosphere of the place. As in my other work, I worked here with the transformative and phase-divided nature of the movement of the individual objects of the installation. One can therefore view the group as a series of stages of movement and communication of a single bird. One can never see the whole installation, the viewer is forced to walk around and under it, to finally complete a picture of the whole work in one's mind, or more accurately, to build his own idea and interpretation of it.
